Boulder companies make 2009 “Inc. 500 ” list
August 12, 2009 – Four Boulder companies are among the fastest growing businesses in the nation, according to Inc. magazine. Namaste Solar, Eco-Products, Rally Software, and Camp Bow Wow are on the magazine’s 2009 “Inc. 500″ list.
Boulder-based Clovis Oncology Leads Nation in 2nd Quarter VC Funding
July 21, 2009 – Clovis Oncology, a biotech startup based in Boulder, received $146.3 million in venture capital funding in the second quarter of 2009. According to the MoneyTree Report from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and the National Venture Capital Association based on data provided by Thomson Reuters, Clovis received more funding than any other company in the US during the quarter.
New Space Incubator Program in Boulder
July 20, 2009 – Three companies have been selected for the inaugural class of Boulder-based eSpace: The Center for Space Entrepreneurship’s space incubator program. eSpace, a collaboration between the University of Colorado and SpaceDev Inc., supports workforce development and entrepreneurship in the space industry.
City Approves Business Incentive for eTown
July 16, 2009 – eTown has received approval for up to $50,000 in rebates for sales and use taxes and development review and permit fees from the City of Boulder as part of the city’s Flexible Rebate business incentive program. eTown produces nationally renowned radio broadcasts that originate in Boulder.
City of Boulder Completes Bike Lane Construction
July 15, 2009 – The city of Boulder announced the completion of the $1.6 million road construction project on Broadway that included the installation of bike lanes. The completion of the project allows cyclists to use a combination of bike lanes, designated routes and multi-use paths to commute through the city along the Broadway corridor.
